Article 1 \u2013 Name and Legal Form<\/h3>\n

Under the names ‘Solidarit\u00e9 Internationale pour la Paix (ASIP)’ \/ ‘International Solidarity Association for Peace (ISAP)’, a non-profit association is established, governed by Articles 60 et seq. of the Swiss Civil Code.<\/p>\n

Article 2 \u2013 Headquarters<\/h3>\n

The headquarters of the association are located in Geneva, Switzerland. It may be relocated to any other place by decision of the Committee.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Article 3 \u2013 Duration<\/h3>\n

The duration of the association is unlimited.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Article 4 \u2013 Objectives<\/h3>\n

The association aims to:<\/p>\n

– Promote peace, social justice, and human rights worldwide.<\/p>\n

– Support initiatives of international solidarity, especially for populations affected by conflicts, natural disasters, or structural injustices.<\/p>\n

– Raise public awareness of issues related to peace, non-violence, and sustainable development.<\/p>\n

– Collaborate with national and international organizations with similar objectives.<\/p>\n

Article 5 \u2013 Means of Action<\/h3>\n

To achieve its goals, the association may:<\/p>\n

– Organize conferences, seminars, workshops, and awareness campaigns.<\/p>\n

– Implement cooperation and development projects.<\/p>\n

– Publish documents, studies, and reports.<\/p>\n

– Establish partnerships with other entities.<\/p>\n

– Collect funds, donations, and grants.<\/p>\n

Article 6 \u2013 Resources<\/h3>\n

The resources of the association come from:<\/p>\n

– Membership fees.<\/p>\n

– Donations, bequests, and grants.<\/p>\n

Article 7 \u2013 Members<\/h3>\n

Any natural or legal person supporting the objectives of the association may become a member.<\/p>\n

Article 8 \u2013 Admission and Exclusion<\/h3>\n

– Admission is decided by the Committee.<\/p>\n

– Membership is terminated by:<\/p>\n

\u00a0 – Written resignation.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 – Death.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 – Exclusion decided by the Committee for valid reasons after hearing the member concerned.<\/p>\n

Article 9 \u2013 Organs<\/h3>\n

The organs of the association are:<\/p>\n

– The General Assembly.<\/p>\n

– The Committee.<\/p>\n

– The Auditing Body (if applicable).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Article 10 \u2013 General Assembly<\/h3>\n

– The General Assembly is the supreme body of the association.<\/p>\n

– It meets at least once a year.<\/p>\n

– It is convened by the Committee or at the request of at least one-fifth of the members.<\/p>\n

– Its competences include:<\/p>\n

\u00a0 – Approval of reports and accounts.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 – Election and dismissal of Committee members.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 – Amendment of the statutes.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 – Dissolution of the association.<\/p>\n

Article 11 \u2013 Committee<\/h3>\n

– The Committee is the executive body of the association.<\/p>\n

– It consists of 3 to 7 members elected for two years, renewable.<\/p>\n

– It meets as often as necessary.<\/p>\n

– It is responsible for:<\/p>\n

\u00a0 – Implementing the decisions of the General Assembly.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 – Managing daily affairs.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 – Representing the association towards third parties.<\/p>\n

Article 12 \u2013 Auditing Body<\/h3>\n

– If decided by the General Assembly, an auditing body is designated to verify the financial management of the association.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Article 13 \u2013 Amendment of the Statutes<\/h3>\n

– The statutes can be amended by the General Assembly with a two-thirds majority of the members present.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Article 14 \u2013 Dissolution<\/h3>\n

– The dissolution of the association can be decided by the General Assembly with a two-thirds majority of the members present.<\/p>\n

– In case of dissolution, the net assets are transferred to an organization pursuing similar goals, according to the decision of the General Assembly.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Article 15 \u2013 Final Provisions<\/h3>\n

These statutes were adopted by the Constitutive Assembly of the Association Solidarit\u00e9 Internationale pour la Paix (ASIP) held in Martigny, Switzerland, on 21 September 2015.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They enter into force immediately.<\/p>\n
